I am not afraid to say that I make ‘New Years Resolutions’. This year along with exercising five days a week and losing 15 pounds I resolved to clean my garage (like I do every year, but this time I meant it) Then on January 2nd, while I was on the way to Atlanta Georgia my wife called me and said that the garage was on fire and there was smoke everywhere. My Son was able to put the fire out but it left a smoky, smelly film on everything. Looks like I am going to keep that reslolution to kleen the garage after all. I am glad in a way, not tha the fire scared the begeebers out of my Wife and Son, but that I will be forced to clean the garage. For some reason I always feel closer to God when my garage is clean. Now that I think about it maybe God has a plan for me to grow close to Him this year….If I take the “maybe” out I think that statement is closer to the truth.

Sat. Oct. 30th was a great day of fun at The Dwelling Place. There were games and bounce houses as far as the eye can see. A goldfish toss (we really did not toss fish, just pingpong balls), Pie throwing, cake walk, games, face painting, balloons, food, and candy, candy, candy.
Along with all the fun and games there we took note of how we are like pumkins. God picks us up, washes us off, and cleans all the gung out of us to make us smile and show the light of Jesus in us to the watching world.

The youth returned safely from Panama City Beach Florida on Thursday morning. It was an awesome trip with lots of sand and water and music and teaching and no tar balls.
