Darren Whitehead
Lead Pastor
Darren is married to Carol and has two sons. Jonathan and Christopher. Darren has an undergraduate degree in Business and two Master’s degrees – one in Business and another in Theology. He has taught three years at Navarro College, seven years at Texas Wesleyan University, five years for Colorado Christian University and six years for Dallas Baptist University. He currently works for both Colorado Christian University and Dallas Baptist University. He also has taught at Pantego Christian Academy for twelve years. Darren is a church planter and has held pastorate positions for three churches and is in his nineteenth year as a senior pastor. He has overseen thirteen new church plants, eleven new community ministries and mentored many interns to lead new church starts and community ministries. He has sponsored church starts to reach out to Iranians, Chinese, Hispanic, Arabic, and Bangladesh people groups. He has led multiple international mission trips to Moscow, Kissiliv, Kiev, and Komariv, Ukraine, and Bucharest, Romania. He has taught at Kiev Baptist Seminary, Criswell College / Seminary and Southwestern Seminary. Sometimes he sleeps.

Joshua Chaney

Josh has currently been serving at TDP since July 2016. Josh grew up in Arlington and received a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies focused on Christian Ministry and Humanities from The University of Mary-Hardin Baylor and is now working on his Masters of Divinity in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Josh loves baseball, movies, and is married to his wife Kendall. Together they have two dogs named Ty and Otto.
